What we did
Role: product development partner to the founders, 2026. Two designers and an engineer on our side, with Simon engineering and running the program.
Product: a full redesign of the device and its accessories for production. Same size and character as the Kickstarter version, refined throughout; new architecture underneath: PCB construction, button mechanics, materials, display assembly, flex routing, and an assembly sequence built to be simple and repeatable.
Delivery: architecture and design refinement, engineering for production, then DFM and tooling support with suppliers in China and Spain. Sampling and ramp run by the Kode Dot team.
Working between: the founders, their electronics team, and the tooling and part suppliers.
